Sam Hallinan joined Nikko Asset Management as Managing Director, Australia on April 1 2015. Sam most recently was General Manager, Investment Management at NAB Asset Management while also serving as Director of Antares Capital Partners Limited, which is affiliated with NAB Asset Management.
Sam has a 20-year career in Australian financial services focusing on asset management, strategy, sales and organisational culture. At NAB, he held leadership roles in retail and institutional product and sales leadership roles for the asset management and investment platform divisions.
Brad Potter, B Science (Hons), Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment (SIA)
Head of Australian Equities
Brad joined the business in 2002. He has 27 years' experience primarily in the funds management and stockbroking industry, and has overall responsibility for managing the Nikko AM Australian equities team, process and portfolios. Prior to joining, Brad was Director, Corporate Finance with Westpac, a Senior Resource Analyst with Ord Minnett and in his early career, a geologist working with a number of resource companies. Brad has portfolio management responsibilities for the Nikko AM Australian Share Wholesale Portfolio and Nikko AM CVA Plus Strategy. He has analyst responsibilities for Banks.

James Alexander, Bachelor of Commerce (Finance)
Co-Head of Global Fixed Income & Head of Australian Fixed Income
James joined the business in 2013 and is responsible for the Australian fixed income team’s investment process, products and performance, as well as managing portfolios for the Core Solutions segment of the Australian fixed income offering. He also has joint management responsibility for Nikko AM’s global fixed income team. James has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with fixed income portfolio management experience gained mostly from his time at AllianceBernstein Australia. James has a breadth of experience in managing fixed income portfolios across many different strategies encompassing both core fixed income exposures and liability driven investing. He began his career on the trading floor of the Sydney Futures Exchange after emigrating from Canada in 1989.

Roger Bridges, BA (Hons) Economics, MA Economics
Global Rates and Currencies Strategist
Roger joined the business in 1998 and is Nikko AM's chief global strategist for interest rates and currencies, working closely with the Global Investment Committee on macro and market target views. He assists the fixed income team with strategic direction and in formulating the macroeconomic viewpoints for portfolio positioning. He has over 30 years' experience in the fixed interest market, including 15 years with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in the Treasury area as well as time as a financial markets economist.
Global Head of Multi-Asset
Al Clark joined Nikko AM in March 2014 as Global Head of Multi-Asset, responsible for driving the growth of the multi-asset business for the firm worldwide. He leads our effort to develop and deliver competitive multi-asset, multi-region products to clients globally. Al has over 20 years of experience in trading and portfolio management and he has been creating and implementing strategic asset allocation models for over a decade. He was previously head of multi-asset for Asia Pacific at Schroder Investment Management in Singapore from 2007 to March 2014. There, he played a leading role in asset allocation decisions for the region and had management oversight of a team of 20 across Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo and Sydney. Prior to that, Al was primarily based in Sydney. He headed the multi-strategy team at BT Financial Group where he was responsible for all asset allocation solutions as well as driving the growth of the business. Al holds a Bachelor of Education from University of Canberra and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Eddy Schipper, B Comm, Postgraduate Diploma in Finance
Head of Institutional Sales
Eddy joined the firm in 2015 and oversees the Nikko Asset Management’s institutional business relationships. He has extensive experience in business development and relationship management, having previously been Executive Director, Business Development at Industry Funds Management where he was responsible for sales, asset consultant liaison and service across Asia Pacific. Prior to that, Eddy held the role of Head of Institutional Business Development at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, managing business development, deal origination and asset consultant relationships in Australia and New Zealand. Eddy has also held roles at HSBC Asset Management and Perpetual Trustees.
Rob Bluzmanis, B Comm (Economics), Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, CIMA®
Head of Wholesale Sales
Rob joined Nikko AM in January 2015 and oversees the firm's relationships with its strategic partners, covering multi-manager businesses, dealer group research, and platform representation. Rob has over 15 years' industry experience in both distribution and research roles. Prior to joining Nikko AM, Rob was Director- Head of National Key Accounts with Blackrock Investment Management.
Head of Private Wealth
Naomi joined Nikko AM in July 2015. As Head of Private Wealth, Naomi is responsible for the firm's relationships with non-aligned independent financial advisers (IFAs), as well as high net worth (HNW) clients and self-managed super fund (SMSF) market segments. Prior to joining Nikko AM, Naomi was Director, Distribution with Mason Stevens and before that Head of Sales and Distribution at Alpha Structured Investments. She has also worked with Deutsche Asset Management and ABN AMRO in business development and account management roles.
